Pier Factory Opens in Costa Rica

North American company Bellingham Marine installed a pier production factory in Quepos, Costa Rica.

The facility manufactures floating piers, which are then transported to the construction site.

Albanisa to Construct Pier in Bilwi, Nicaragua

The Tourism Institute has approved to award a new concrete pier project to Alba de Nicaragua, S.A (Albanisa).

According to the government decision, the company will have three years to carry out the work, which comprises the construction of a 210m long and 22m wide reinforced concrete pier with two docking berths.

Costa Rica will have four private piers at Moin by 2016.

One of these piers will be next to the current Taiwanese pier in Moin; it will be 11 meters deep and have to capacity to handle medium-sized ships that travel throughout Central America, the Caribbean and the United States.
