Rafael Barcenas, director of Civil Aviation, explained the new terminal will be located in the Rio Hato area, in Anton.

"We have to add to the project and discuss it with the City Council, as there are many points to discuss regarding what will happen around the airport," Barcenas told Pa-digital.com.pa.

There are still elements of the project which need to be defined, such as its construction method, which could include a tunnel at the Inter-American Highway.
