Panama: $ 2 Million Urban Project Tendered

The Ministry of Housing tenders design and construction of Urban Project Portobelo, located in the Colon Province.

-Preparation and approval of studies (environmental impact, hydrological studies, soil study).

-Design and construction of infrastructure and housing construction with a minimum area of 40.96 square meters.

Expected date for submission of tenders is February 18, 2011.

Panama: Tender for $29 million Residential Project

The Ministry of Housing has put out to tender the " Residencial Nueva Providencia " ("New Providence Resideces) a 6-hectare urban development project in the province of Colon.

The initiative includes urban development made up of residential (multi-level buildings), lots designated for commercial trade, a nursery, a health center, a lot for a police station, recreation areas (playground, parks) and all the infrastructure services needed to provide a complete housing solution to the population of Colon.

The Panama Ministry of Housing is putting out to tender the design and construction of development a project called "Los Cañaverales" in the Province of Herrera and one called "19 de Octubre" in the Province of Cocle.

Three Companies Bid $95 Million for Curundú Project

January 2010

Meco, Oderbrecht and Cusa are the three companies still in contention for developing the urban infrastructure project.

All three of them proposed costs around $95 million, from Cusa's bid at $94.933.650 to Meco's at $95.397.750.

According to Prensa.com, "Proyecto Curundú" comprises transforming some 160.000 square meters in the locality of the same name.
