Panama Tenders Water Infrastructure for $ 5.2 million

The IDAAN launches tender for construction of drinking water connections in the city of Colon.

The contract, tendered by the Water and Sewer Institute (IDAAN), includes the supply of materials and labor for the project, including 244 hydrants and 69 interconnections in the old part of the province of Colon.

The recruitment mode will be the Best Value Abbreviated Bidding. Interested companies should submit proposals by February 10th, 2011, while the approval meeting will be January 25.

Honduras Tenders Nine Water and Sanitation Projects

The National Autonomous Service of Aqueducts and Sewers is putting out to tender the design and construction of nine water and sanitation projects located in the department of Atlantida.

The deadline for submission of bids is May 8, 2013.

The Offeror will have to prepare a preliminary design proposal for each project, which should include information on technical considerations, required technical compliance, quality of materials, operating conditions, and design advantages. They should attach all information supporting the proposed preliminary design for each project, taking into consideration that it will form the basis for the analysis of performance of their proposal.

The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers in Panama is putting out to tender renovation works on the drinking water system at Potrerillos and Dolega.

-Conducting pipe 7.028 m in length, 6 diameter, in PVC, which feeds into a new 50,000-gallon tank.

The AyA has projects for which it is looking for funds, and is considering various forms of investment types, including concessions for public works, public - private partnerships, leasing and securitizations.

Costa Rica’s investment needs for water supply and sewerage systems amount to $1820 million, of which $599 million is for projects to be developed immediately, $371 for short-term projects, and $850 million for medium-and long-term ones .

Panama: $ 100 Million for Water and Sanitation

The CAF loan is aimed at improving health conditions and support economic and urban development in the province of Panama.

With partial funding from CAF, amounting to $ 100 million, the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) will start implementing an investment program for the water sector and sanitation in the province of Panama.
