Panama Puts $7 Million Health Center Out To Tender

The Ministry of Health announced the bidding for the summer of 2011. The health center is located in the District of Macaracas.

The new center of primary health care (MoH-Capsi) will have a capacity of 25 to 30 beds.

The head of the Ministry of Health (MoH), Franklin Vergara, stated works will last for about 12 months.

An IDB loan will implement a program to improve access, use and quality of health in all provinces, including indigenous regions and their surrounding rural areas.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) have signed a loan agreement for B /, 50 million to implement a program to improve health equity in Panama, specifically by increasing access, use and quality of health in all provinces, including indigenous regions and their surrounding rural areas.

Construction of $5.3 Million Health Centre Begins

IBT Health are to build a Primary Health Care Center in the city of Las Tablas.

The grounds of the former Gerardino De Leon general hospital were awarded in a tender issued by the City Council of the City of Las Tablas, as the location for the new Minsa-Capsi center.

"The facilities at the Minsa-Capsi will be built on an estimated area of 1900 square meters and will generate at least 44 direct and 95 indirect jobs for health and administrative staff.

Panama Builds $11 million Health Center

The Ministry of Health has announced the construction of a health center in Rio Sereno, Renacimiento.

Offers Received for 10 Health Centers in Panama

Five consortiums have submitted bids for the $60 million hospital construction project.

The participating consortium were Consorcio IBT Health, Sociedad Española de Montajes Industriales, Omega Engineering, Ingeniería R.M. and Consorcio Termotécnica Mega Proyecto.

The contract includes the design, construction and in some cases provision of equipment for ten innovative primary health care centers.
