Panama: Offers Received for Soná Boulevard Construction

Two companies have submitted bids to widen the Soná Boulevard to four lanes in the Veraguas province of western Panama.

The companies participating in the $9.1 million tender were Constructora Urbana, S.A. (CUSA), whose offer was $8.7 million, and Bagatrac, S.A. with and $8.2 million offer.

The work includes laying an asfalt surface, building bus shelters, walkways, water mains and sewers for the highway, as well as the construction of entrances to residences along the route between Santiago, Soná and El María. Traffic control systems will also be installed.
