Panama: New Tourism Promotion Law

A new approved law sets measures for fostering and promoting tourism in the country's east.

Introduced by representative Hernán Delgado, it will allow tourism consortiums from Spain, U.S., Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and other nations to invest in the area spanning from the estuary of river Bayano to the Province of Darién.

Economic investment will help link the area with the current tourism boom in the Gulf of Panama, creating one integrated tourism development center, which will help reduce poverty, hunger and misery faced by the region's inhabitants.

Panama Wants to Attract Brazilian Tourists

Advertising Expenses for Tourism in Panama

Panama strengthens its investment in the European market

During the final quarter of this year the Panamanian Tourism Authority is strengthening its investment in international publicity and promotion aimed at the European market.

The Authority has been purchasing space in the printed media, including specialized newspapers and magazines, as well as alternative media such as buses and taxis in Holland, France and the United Kingdom
