Panama Maritime Authority Puts HQ Construction Out to Tender

The contract is to design and remodel their facilities.

The government purchase published in website Panamacompra.gob.pa confirmed November 15th as the meeting date for approvals and the 25th for presentation of bids.

"The project must be finished and submitted by the contractor to the institution after 420 days from the day the order to proceed is given. The Commission seeks interested companies to have a financial backing of at least $ 15 million," the publication in Laestrella.com.pa reported.

The Ministry of Government of Panama is putting out to tender the integral maintenance of "La Nueva Joya" prison, located in Panama City.

"DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT OF PLANS, CONSTRUCTION OF NEW AREAS, ADJUSTMENTS AND COMPREHENSIVE RESTORATION OF THE OLD BUILDING OF THE GOVERNMENT OF COLON."

Three Construction Offers for Parlatino´s Seat

February 2011

Rivas Construction Company, RM Engineering and Bedford Global International submitted bids for construction of the new seat of the organization in Panama.

Rivas Construction made an offer of $ 15.68 million, RM Engineering´s bid $ was 17.16 million and Global Bedford International was $ 17.22 million.

$30 Million for Renovating Panamanian Neighborhoods

February 2010

The Government will invest in renovating three neighborhoods in Panama City: El Chorillo, Santa Ana and San Felipe.

In 1997, San Felipe was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

“Mivi, the Housing Ministry is currently identifying which houses need to be demolished, and which lots will be enabled for 2011, when renovation works begin … the new buildings cannot be taller than three stories”, reported La Prensa.
