Some of the events taking place are the Latin American Congress of Social Networks, the Parliamentary Assembly, the Regional Congress of Amway, the annual meeting of businessmen and the World Economic Forum.
The Tourism Authority (ATP) has awarded a contract to the consultation company Consulting Inc. and Business Tourism Services (BTS), with the aim of reforming the present Bureau of Conventions.
To become a global destination for the convention industry, Panama must increase the number of available hotel rooms and air plane seats.
The decision of whether to sell the event center after three failed attempts to auction it will be left to the incoming government.
The number of conventions, conferences and other international events provides more customers for the hotel sector.
