Panama Invites Tenders for $2.6 Million Air-sea Base

The contract comprises the design and construction of the San Vicente air and sea base in the south of the country.

The bid documents define requirements for the design, architectural plans, technical specifications and building works for phase 1 of the project as well as for equipping the operational buildings of the San Vicente air-sea base in the southern Panama province of Darién.

The deadline for bids to be received is 18 August.

$2.2 Million for Aero Naval Base

Authorities are inviting bids for designing, building and equipping an Aero Naval base in San Vicente, province of Darién.

Companies must submit their bids on July 9, at the offices of the Government Ministry.

The contract has a reference price of $2.2 million, and includes conducting soil, environmental impact and topographic studies.

Services are required to carry out soil studies, environmental impact assessments, topographic studies, design, creation and supply of plans, technical specifications and construction for the Port of Mensabe Air and Sea base in Los Santos province on the southerly Azuero Peninsula.

The project comprises construction of a water supply system for the Guabito community.

The published bid documents detail the project's objectives:

-Conduct a feasibility study in the following areas: technical, economical, financial and environmental.

-"Design the most viable alternative, according to prior approval from CONADES IDAAN: This design should include the project's technical report, construction plans and approved by the competent authorities and the environmental impact study.

Six Companies Bid For Hospitals in Panama

May 2010

On Monday, interested companies submitted their bids for building 5 hospitals in Panama, for an estimated $386 million.

The participating companies are: Samsung Corporation, Senisa, OHL Arellano, Consorcio HPP, FCC Constructores S. A. and IBT.

The proposed complexes will be built in the provinces of Darién, Chiriquí, Los Santos, Veraguas and Colón.
