Panama Invites Bids for $8 Million "Financial Tower"

The contract comprises the design, preliminary studies, plans and specifications for the “Torre Financiera” (Financial Tower).

The project aims to:

- Contract the services of a company specializing in planning and design with proven experience in the use of cutting-edge technology to achieve the most efficient design commercial design possible.

- Tailor the design towards improving service quality through optimizing the functional space and its impact on the company's image, in accordance with international standards.

- Present an innovative architectural proposal to the country with intelligent systems, technological advances, efficiency, energy savings and environmental conservation.

- Deliver the final construction plans for the “Torre Financiera” (Financial Tower) project, duly approved by the relevant government institutions.

The company Lacayo Fiallos announced that the company has started construction of the first tower, which will have 7,296 square meters of construction, 170 underground parking spaces and 239 outdoor parking spaces. The project is called Kakau and the total estimated investment is $13 million.

The 20-floor office building, which required an investment of $45 million, will open its doors in November 2009.

The developer of the third tower of the World Trade Center, Group Agrisal, has planned to inaugurate the building in November with 100% occupancy. The spaces that have already been sold will be occupied by some 40 businesses.
