Panama Invites Bids For $ 11 Million in Road Maintenance

The bid is for the maintenance and repair of highways and roads.

The Ministry of Public Works will contract diverse works including seal of cracks and concrete joints.

A preliminary discussion meeting ("homologación") will take place eight days before the submission of bids, which will be received on November 26th, 2010.

Guatemala Awards Construction Works for $ 26 Million

The five projects awarded are for road reconstruction in the Atlantic coastline area.

The reconstruction of segments Sanarate-Agua Caliente, San Antonio Paz-El Progreso, was awarded to Overseas Engineering and Construction Co. Ltda., SA.

The reconstruction of the access driveway to Morales, Izabal was awarded to William Estuardo Radford Hernández.

Roadworks Awarded $22 million

In Guatemala an award has been made to the company Mantenimiento Vial y Construcción S.A. for improvement works on the RN-0 road, at the stretch from San Juan Ostuncalco to San Marcos.

In late July the Social Solidarity Trust Fund (Fideicomiso Fondo Social de Solidaridad) awarded the contract for road improvement works worth $22.1 million, according to information on the purchasing website

Nicaragua Tenders Road Maintenance Works

The Road Maintenance Fund will invest $37.3 million to attend to 3350 km of roads and highways nationwide during 2012.

A press release by the Road Maintenance Fund (FOMAV) reads:

With the aim of stating work in January next year, the institution is currently developing the first National Public Tender Process, consisting of 940 km of roads and highways with an investment of 307 million cordobas ($13,4 millon) to be used on construction works and supervision services.

$9 Million for Highway Maintenance

January 2010

Panama's transportation ministry invited bids for rehabilitation works at highway José Agustín Arango.

The bidding rules were published in PanamáCompra, and establish that bids must be submitted before March 2.

Works include removing road surface, installing drainage pipelines and installing cement layers, plus building a pedestrian bridge.
