Panama Implements Strategy for Promoting Exports

“’Trade shows and missions are at the core of exports promotion, added Arias, who also commented they are considering training sessions to inform on the Trade Agreements signed by Panama”.

The embassies of El Salvador are to showcase export products from their country and cooperate with private trade missions.

From a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in El Salvador:

The Foreign Minister, Jaime Miranda, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador, Luis Cardinal, signed on Monday September 30 an interagency cooperation agreement in the field of trade promotion of El Salvador internationally, which will allow the development of joint activities through diplomatic and consular representation of the country throughout the world.

Representatives from the government and private enterprise are looking to India for business opportunities and attracting investment.

From a press release from the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Trade (Comex):

A delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Anabel Gonzalez, will visit India next week, along with representatives from the Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER) and the Coalition of Development Initiatives (CINDE). An intensive agenda of meetings with government officials and entrepreneurs will take place in three major cities of the country (New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore) and the main objectives are to seek to promote the opening of communication channels, attracting investment and promoting exports.

Guatemala Unveils 2011 Commercial Agenda

The Guatemalan Exporters Association presented its 2011 agenda, which includes 36 trade promotion events.

The first will be the agricultural show “Agritrade” on March 17th and 18th, followed by its textile equivalent, the Apparel Sourcing Show, on March 22nd to 24th.

Expomueble Centroamérica will take place on September 21, together with arts and crafts expo “New World Crafts”.
