Panama: Truck Maintenance Concession

The mayor-elect of the Municipality of Panama, Bosco Vallarino, announced that he could grant a concession for garbage truck maintenance.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

The concession would be granted in order to ensure the daily circulation of 60 trucks in the capital district.

Kemy Loo Pinzón wrote in Prensa.com: "During an interview on TVN Channel 2 yesterday, Vallarino said that only 16 garbage collection trucks are currently operating. 'This is due to maintenance; trucks that age 10 years in a few months because parts are taken away or changed,’ he said."

Vallarino will take over the mayor’s office for the capital district on July 1.
