Panama Betting on Golf

Panama has become the third country in the region (including Colombia) with a greater choice of golf courses.

Monday, March 7, 2011

There are currently twelve courses operating in the country and two more under construction.

The president of the Panamanian Golf Association said that the country should increase promotion of tourism, creating attractive packages to golf in Panama.

"The growth of the sport has created a demand for skilled labor to give the courses maintenance. It is estimated that for every course you need a minimum of 50 workers, including gardeners and mowing equipment operators," reported Prensa.com.
