Panama Announces $8 Million Training Center

The government will put in place a training center to address the lack of qualified labor in the country.

Such initiative will be executed by the National Training Institute for Human Development and the Panama Pacifico Agency (APP).

Olmedo Alfaro, manager of APP, expressed his concern over the “lack of technical staff, capable of supplying the needs of transnational companies located in this economic area”.

Panama Training Center Tender for $ 7.5 million

April 2011

The second of its kind to be tendered in Panama, the training centre is designed to train technical personnel in various disciplines.

Like the previous centre put out for tender, this centre aims to meet the need for trained staff required by multinationals operating in the Panama Pacific Special Economic Area.

Vocational Training Centers to be Built

October 2014

The government has announced that it expects to invest $400 million in the construction of six technical training centers in areas related to ports, logistics, agriculture, tourism and engineering.

The dynamics of business in Panama in sectors such as logistics and customer service, have increased the demand for qualified personnel for these functions.

Training Center for Panamá Pacífico

April 2012

The investment of $17 million is intended to meet the requirements for trained personnel in Panama Pacifico, especially for handling heavy equipment.

Work on the training center should be started in June and it is hoped that it will fulfill all the requirements for participants in training courses on the skills required by the modern labor market: English, technology, work ethics and personal finances.

Panama: Tender for Training Center for $7.5 million

February 2012

The National Vocational Training Institute is inviting bids for the implementation of a center for training workers in the Panama Pacific area.

According to the specifications the tender comprises of the Implementation of a Training Centre for Training INADEH workers in the Panama Pacific area and includes the design, modification, acquisition of furniture and equipment, teacher training, technology transfer and implementation.
