Panama: $60 Million for Highway Infrastructure
The country's council of ministers has approved a special loan to the the Department of Public Works (MOP).

The $60,054,418 million budget approved will go towards various MOP highway projects.
The National Assembly of Panama has approved a transfer of $34,059,053 million for starting to address the payment of road realignment projects.
The Ministry of Public Works will invest $12 million on building extra lanes, changing roads and traffic lights in areas of the metropolitan area with high road congestion.
The Municipality is going to put out to tender the renewal of the streets ‘Via Argentina’ and ‘Calle Uruguay’.
The contract was awarded to the Spanish construction company FCC, as an extension of the work carried out on the Brazil highway.
