Panama: Industrial Plant for $20 million

An environmental impact study has been presented to build an industrial plant for grinding wheat grain and production of flour and bran in Las Mananitas, province of Panama.

In December the company Harinas Panamá presented to the National Environmental Authority (ANAM) an environmental impact study for construction of the project "Nuevo Molino de Harinas" (New Flour Mill), which consists of an industrial plant for grinding wheat grain and producing wheat and bran flour (the first for human consumption, and the second to be used as raw material for the preparation of animal feed).

According to the report, this mill will process a daily estimated amount of 350 tons of wheat for human consumption. This project involves the construction of a series of infrastructure works and various types of installations ... trash collection area, area to set up electrical transformer, scales, warehouse complementary products, storage warehouse for finished products (flour and bran), perimeter fence, steel silos, and other things.

The study presented to the ANAM notes that the estimated investment amount is $20 million.

New Grain Mill for $3 million in El Salvador

The processor and marketer of flour considers that the conditions are favorable for the economy and the agribusiness sector and plans to begin operating the new mill this month, which will be added to the already operating onein San Juan de Opico.

Honduras: $20 Million for Wheat Processing Plant

The company, which has a presence in Central America having entered the Honduran market in the flour sector, wants to expand its presence in the country.

In order to do this, it is building a flour processing plant, which will provide more competition and efficiency in the baking industry.
