Panama: Cooperation Between Industry and University

The Union of Industrialists of Panama and the la Universidad Tecnológica de Panama have signed an agreement on mutual cooperation between business and academia.

A statement from the Union of Industrialists of Panama (SIP) reads:

The President of the Union of Industrialists of Panama (SIP), Ms. Aida Michelle Ureña Maduro, and the head of the University of Panama, Mr. Marcela Paredes de Vásquez, signed an agreement to strengthen ties of cooperation for the benefit of country.

The agreement, which was signed on Tuesday November 20, states that the cooperation will be developed under the following categories: courses, seminars, dipolomas, conferences, workshops, etc., for teachers, researchers and students of UTP. Also included is the exchange of publications, studies and research.

The president of the industrialists expressed his pride on sealing the alliance with such a prestigious institution of further education and concluded that we all have strengths that we must develop beyond a classroom or business.

Panama's state universities sign agreement

The state universities of Panama and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) signed a five year agreement of cooperation.

Said agreement will allow Panamanian graduate students to study in Germany.
According to the agreement, the duration of the stays in Germany will be at least two years for Master's studies, four years for Doctorate, and six to twenty-four months for investigation and post-doctorate studies
