Panama: Road Works Tenders Announced

President Martinelli requested to put out to tender, as soon as possible, the roadworks on Via España to connect it with the North and South corridors.

In addition to the stretch of road on Via España other interventions are planned for some of the avenues in the capital such as Samuel Lewis and the exit from the Costa del Este, as well as the construction of viaducts and overpasses.

The request was made by the president, Ricardo Martinelli to Jaime Ford, chief of Public Works, at the opening of the El Paical-Ricardo J. Alfaro-Juan Pablo II street intersection. This is part of the first phase of the project corridor via Brazil stage I and had a cost of $216 million.

Panama Prepares $30 million Highway Tender
