Opportunities for Guatemala in the Chilean Market

On March 24, the Guatemalan Exporters Association will give a presentation on business opportunities in Chile.

From a statement issued by the Guatemalan Exporters Association (Agexport) reads:

The Department of Business Information and Market Intelligence AGEXPORT, INFOEXPORT in partnership with the institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, PROCHILE, is to hold on March 24, 2014, a presentation on the opportunities for exports and imports in Chile and on the evolution of trade relations between the two countries since the entry into force of the FTA.

This presentation aims provide to Guatemalan exporters who are members of AGEXPORT, with up to date information on international trade and this will allow companies to consider new options, explore and find new niches for their business opportunity.

Infoexport, for this 2014 event will be developing 6 similar events for Panama, CAFTA, Taiwan, Mexico and Colombia, with the collaboration of various embassies, in order to update business owners and their teams regarding the business relationship with countries with which Guatemala currently has had a FTA for at least 3 years.

Guatemala: U.S. Trade Mission Announced

From April 7th to 11th, Guatemalan businessmen will be able to participate in a multi-sector trade mission to Miami, Florida.

Those participating will showcase their products in the market and conduct business meetings with their U.S. counterparts.

Guatemalan Trade Mission to Mexico

November 2011

Representatives from seventeen companies will visit the Mexican state of Yucatan to explore business opportunities.

The mission comes after the approval and signing of the unified FTA with Mexico.

"The president of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport), Francisco Menendez, pointed out that the unification opens ‘many opportunities’, and he urged exporters to venture into higher value added products.
