New Logistics Center for Cold Chain in Miami  

Cold chain logistics improves for fresh produce exported by the region to the U.S. through the main port of Florida.

From a statement by the Trade Promotion Office in Costa Rica:

"The logistics center is the South Florida Logistics Centre which is operated by the company Flagler Global Logistics and is located next to Miami International Airport. According to the company, through use of new technology this center now offers new services for fresh produce entering the United States through Miami which will enhance shelf life, being able to maintain more uniform temperatures during transport.

According to the company annual loses from fresh products are of about $35 billion in this country and about half of those losses are due to changes in temperature that occur in international and domestic transportation.
