Nicaraguan Exports Up 32.6%

In the first seven months of the year, sales of goods abroad recorded a 32.6% increase relative to the same period in 2009.

According to data from Nicaragua's Export Procedures Center (Cetrex), sales in the first six months of 2010 totaled $1.16 billion, compared to $0.85 billion in the same period of last year.

Nicaraguan Exports Up 32%

In the first two months of the year the country sold $284.9 million, 31.8% more than the same period of 2009, when it sold $216.1 million.

Exported volume increased 30.9% in the same period, according to data from Cetrex, Nicaragua’s export Center.

Total exports, excluding from the free zone, in the first six months of the year amounted to $1.437 billion, 13.08% higher than in the same period in 2011.

According to information from the Center for Exports (Cetrex), the total volume exported in the same period also reported an increase which was of 10.97%.

Guatemalan Exports Increase by 25%

In the first six months of the year, exports totaled $5,400 million.

The amounts sold abroad exceeded 25% of the $4,300 million from the same period in 2010, according to the Bank of Guatemala.

Exports up to 19 September totaled $1.997 million, 16.8% higher than in the same period in 2011, when exports reached $1,109 million.

According to information from the Center for Exports, Cetrex, export volumes also recorded an increase of 12.8%, totaling 1,314 tons compared to 1,164 last year.
