Nicaragua Triples Exports to Canada

So far 2011, Canada is the second largest trading partner, with a total of $ 55 million in exports from January to March.

Nicaragua: Increased Export Quotas for Taiwan

The private sector proposes to negotiate with the government of Taiwan an increase in the export quotas for products such as peanuts and sugar.

Exporting companies will be proposing to the government of Daniel Ortega that the visit by the President of Taiwan, Ma Ying-jeou be used to request an increase in export quotas for agricultural products. In 2014 total exports to the Asian island amounted to $65.8 million.

During recent participation at the Biofach and Fruit Logistica trade fairs, Nicaraguan producers closed sales for $ 5.3 million.

14 companies took part in the activities, supported by the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua (APEN), the Export and Investment Center (CEI) and the Government of the Netherlands.
