This was announced by Cossimo Lisandrelli, chief of the port plant operated by SER San Antonio, who added that the terminal to be built in the cellar of the west pier of Corinto "... will expedite loading and lower costs because of reduced length of stays".

The information was confirmed by Lisandrelli "... after the shipment of 909,226 quintals of sugar in bulk under the framework of the Association Agreement (AA) between the EU and Central America, mainly contributed by the mills of San Antonio and Monte Rosa, Chinandega, and Compañía Azucarera del Sur (Casur) of Rivas " reported Laprensa.com.ni.

"The shipment was sent in the ship Ionic Smyrni, which is 189.9 meters long and 32 meters wide and sails under the Philippine flag." It is expected that the Sugar will arrive in Romania in the next 25 days .
