From a report by the Central Bank of Nicaragua:

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.32 percent (-0.30% in September 2016), mainly explained by the behavior of prices in some goods and services in the divisions of Transport (2.04%); Accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.15%); and Restaurants and hotels (0.33%), which together contributed 0.293 percentage points to the variation observed. In contrast, the category of Food and non-alcoholic beverages showed a variation of -0.21 percent (-0.071pp). Click to interact with graphicsClick to interact with graphics

In cumulative terms, national inflation was 2.70% (1.72% in September 2016), affected by the behavior of prices in the divisions of Accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels; Education; and Transportation; with a combined contribution of 1,629 percentage points. 

In interannual terms, inflation stood at 4.12 percent, 0.60 percentage points higher than in September 2016, and core inflation was 4.21 percent (3.94 percent in September 2016).

During the seventh month of the year, the CPI recorded a monthly variation of -0.08%, mainly explained by the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a decrease of 0.08 percent (0.39% in July 2017), mainly explained by the behavior of prices in some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.04% ); and Communications (-0.02%); which together contributed 0.364 percentage points to the observed variation. In contrast, the Transportation division showed an increase of 1.45 percent (0.112pp).

During the third month of the year, the CPI recorded a monthly variation of 0.14%, mainly explained by the prices of accommodation, water, electricity and gas, and restaurants and hotels.

Nicaragua: Inter Annual Inflation in April 2017 is 3,35%

In April, the monthly variation was 0.32%, mainly explained by the behavior of transport and food and beverage prices.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.32 percent (0.14% in April 2016), mainly explained by the behavior of prices in some of the goods and services in Transportation (2.00%), Food and Non-alcoholic beverages (0.17%) and Recreation and culture (1.21%), which together contributed 0.253 percentage points to the variation observed. In contrast, in the division of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels there was a variation of -0.76 percent (-0.068pp). [GRAFICA caption = "Click to interact with graphics"]
