Nicaragua: $30 million for Rural Sanitation

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration has granted a loan to finance part of the program of works on Sustainability of Rural Water and Sanitation.

From a statement issued by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE):

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) and the Government of Nicaragua signed a $30 million loan to finance the "Program for Sustainability of Rural Water and Sanitation".

It is estimated that the total cost of the program is $84.2 million, within which the World Bank is participating with $30 million, the SDC with $14.8 million and the government, municipalities and communities together with $9.4 million.

Costa Rica: $156 million for Water System

From a statement issued by the Government of Costa Rica:

San Jose August 12, 2015.- The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will loan US $130 million for a project to be run by the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA), whose total cost amounts to US $156 million. The project proposes reducing unaccounted for water, improving competitiveness in the delivery and service provision and contributing to the sustainability of water resources systems in the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) and its peripheral systems.

El Salvador: $64 Million for Water Treatment

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration has approved a loan for technical and physical renovation of the Water Treatment Plant in Las Pavas, in the department of Cuscatlan.

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) has approved a loan the to Republic of El Salvador in the amount of $64.4 million to finance the renovation project on Works for the Collection, Purification and Treatment of the Electromechanical Water Plant Las Pavas, the most important source of drinking water El Salvador.

Nicaragua: $30 million for Water and Sanitation

The National Assembly has approved a loan from the CABEI to build water and sanitation systems, storage tanks, septic tanks, sewers and household connections.

Following the adoption of a decree for a $30 million loan signed between the Republic of Nicaragua and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI ), 121 rural municipalities will benefit from the implementation of the "Project for Sustainability Rural of Water and Sanitation"
