The shopping center of more than four blocks required an investment of $35 million and it will house (already confirmed) Híper Paiz supermarket, McDonald's, Pollo Campero, G&T Continental Bank and Industrial Bank. Additionally, the shopping center will have an area for medical services, opening one month later, and it will be operated by Grupo Hospitalario.
Cristóbal Véliz wrote for Sigloxxi.com: "The president of the Chamber of Construction, Alvaro Mayorga, believes that it is a good thing that the construction sector is now focusing on the medical services sector. ‘I believe that it is part of the development that will slowly be coming about in those areas where it had not arrived, as is the case in Majadas, Mega Centro and Peri Roosevelt. This will raise property values in the area,' he explained."
Grupo Eskala has announced that it will build a new busincess center in the Mixco Zone in Guatemala.
The 35 million dollar facility, Eskala Roosevelt, will have 82,000 square meters with a double basement for parking and capacity for 1,500 vehicles, with three floors for local businesses to locate, and a Hiper Paíz supermarket.
The mall, consisting of 86,000 square meters and 115 spaces, will open its doors to the public today.
Located at kilometer marker 13.8 on the Roosevelt Calzada, the mall includes a supermarket, shops, a food court, and medical services.
Roxana Larios interviewed the director of the Eskala Group, José Geresa, for Siglo 21: “…Hiper Paiz occupies 14,000 square meters…the supermarket attracts a heavy flow of people, approximately 1 million people each month…There are four banks, clothing and shoe stores, and restaurants like Pollo Campero and McDonald’s. Fifteen hundred jobs were created in order to provide these services."
In Muxbal, between markers 10k and 13k from the old road to El Salvador, three new shopping centers will soon be opened.
Elperiodico.com.gt reports that " Grupo Pucom is building the ‘Vista a Muxbal’ complex at kilometer 9.5; Grupo Tir is developing Minuto Muxbal at kilometre 13, while MU Inmobiliaria (Mauricio Urruela) is constructing Shops at Muxbal at kilometer 13.5. '
