New Inka Grill Stores in Costa Rica

The restaurant chain enters the coffee shop market, by opening three stores in San José.

Adrián Vera, CEO of the company, didn't reveal the amount being invested, which is from both Costa Rican and Panamanian origin, but explained that the first 'Il Gourmet Illy' store will be opened on November 15th.

Nacion.com reports: "Vera detailed that the coffee shops will be developed as franchises... The owners expect to expand the brand in Central America, focusing on Guatemala, El Salvador and Panama".

Fast Food Chain Reopens in Costa Rica

The owner in the region of Juan Valdez coffee shops has acquired the Burger King franchise in the country and is preparing for the opening of eleven outlets in the remainder of the year.

After having announced in October of 2015 the close of the 29 restaurants that operated in the country, due to a decision by the shareholder and franchise holder BKC EE.UU., the brand is returning to the country in the hands of the business group JV Centroamérica. The new owner has already opened one restaurant and is preparing to open two more in the next two weeks and eight during the second half of the year.

Pizza Chains Expand in Costa Rica

Pizza Hut, Pan e Vino, Papa John's and La Fabbrica opened eleven new restaurants this year.

With a $ 2.4 million investment, Pizza Hut will open six new stores and remodel another three. It also plans to open three coffee shops in their restaurants.

La Fabbrica will open its sixth outlet, located in Sabana Oeste during April.

Pollo Campero Grows in Europe

The fast food chain plans to open 100 restaurants in the Iberian Peninsula over the next 5 years.

In alliance with Eat Out group, the Guatemalan franchise has opened its second restaurant in Barcelona, Spain.

From there, Campero plans to expand to all of Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
