The Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) has reported that increasing demand on the part of passengers using Aero Ruta Maya (ARM) led to the decision to increase the number of frequencies it operates between the capital and the tourist destination Xela, from three to four.

Now there will be a flight on Monday, two on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to the INGUAT.

New Flights Panama - Colombia

The low-cost airline Wingo has announced that from July it will be increasing the number of flights from Panama to the cities of Cali, Bogota and Medellín.

According to a representatives from the airline, "... from July, flights from Panama to Cali will increase from 2 to 3 frequencies a week, from Panama to Medellín from 4 to 5 and to Bogota [there will be] a daily flight."

VivaColombia has announced that the new route between Colombia and Panama Pacific City airport will fly four times a week and will start on September 5, 2016.

Laestrella.com.pa reports that for flights between the Colombian city of Cali and the Panama Pacific International Airport tickets are already available for sale online "... at a price of $150 round trip."

Negotiations for New Flights between Honduras and USA

Spirit Airlines plans to increase the number of flights it operates from San Pedro Sula to five a week and open, in the future, a frequency between Tegucigalpa and Miami.

Up until now the airline has operated frequencies from San Pedro Sula to several cities in the United States and Canada, but is now examining, together with the Honduran government, the ability to operate in the short term, flights between Tegucigalpa and Miami.

New "Low Cost" Colombia - Panama Flights

From 1 August the VivaColombia airline will operate a daily frequency from Bogota to Panama City and four per week from Medellin.

The flights will be made in two formats, an every day roundtrip service during daylight hours between Bogota and Panama and on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, at night between Medellin and Panama City.
