The fast food restaurant chain McDonald's plans to add three new outlets to the 18 which are already operating in the country.

Representatives of Mesoamerica Corporation, which owns the franchise in the country, indicated that the investment per restaurant is around $2 million, and the three it plans to open in the second half of the year will be added to the three already opened this year.
In regards to the three branches that will open in the remainder of the year, Elsalvador.com reports that"... one of the establishments will be opened in the Santa Rosa Mall in Santa Tecla, another in Santa Ana, and a third still is under negotiation, explained Luis González, senior manager of Operations for Corporacion Mesoamerica. "
"...The corporation also operates the franchise in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.Including those three countries and El Salvador, it currently has 118 restaurants.This month it will be opening a new establishment in Leon, Nicaragua, while in Guatemala some branches are being remodeled."
