Metalworking from Costa Rica to Trinidad and Tobago

Oil and natural gas production companies on the island are potential customers for the Costa Rican metal industry.

Friday, January 25, 2013

Elfinancierocr.com reports that "Next Tuesday Costa Rican Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) will send a trade mission made up of businessmen from the metalworking sector to Trinidad and Tobago, with the objective of making the first links for possible future exports. "

A study by Procomer has revealed that there may be potential to increase the volume of sales to this country, which is a producer of oil and natural gas, "an area where Costa Rican entrepreneurs can be suppliers ".

In Trinidad and Tobago the energy sector accounts for 90% of exports and 40% of gross domestic product (GDP).

The analysis by Procomer reveals that Caribbean entrepreneurs are not aware of Costa Rica’s supply capacity and there is a certain amount of reticence because Costa Rica is not an oil producing country. However, they would be willing to do business, either by direct purchase or mutually beneficial partnerships.
