Marketing firm to open in Costa Rican free zone

American company, Critical Mass, joined up with Costa Rican firm, Grupo Garnier, to open a subsidiary in the country called The Hangar Interactive.

The Hangar Interactive will create website for marketing and will hire 30 persons immediately. However this figure should reach 250 within the next three years, said Gabriela Llobet, director of Cinde.

The 24 best websites from El Salvador were awarded yesterday with the 2008 "Arroba de Oro".

The prestigious event awarded each of the 24 categories, with the top winner being musica.com.sv, which also got a cash prize from the sponsors.

The 2008 Edition of Gold Medal had 268 finalists from a total of 882 that registered initially. The evaluation of the finalists and winners was done by national and international judges.

Multinational Corporations Invest in Costa Rica

Transnational services companies are looking to hire 8,000 more employees this year in Costa Rica, said Gabriela Llobet, head of the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives.

Llobet was speaking at a seminar on the services sector organized in conjunction with the Central American Business Management Institute (Incae).
