Costa Rican officials will work from home to save resources

Six public institutions of Costa Rica will permit their officials to work from their homes in order to save energy, time and other resources.

The Costa Rican government reported that this "stay at home and work" model has been used successfully by foreign businesses.

According to a decree signed by Vice President, Laura Chinchilla, the departments of Education and foreign trade, the National Bank, the Attorney General's office of the Republic, the State Distance University, and the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority will participate in this pilot project.
