Tender: 107 kilometers of Roadworks

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities in Honduras is putting out to tender the design and renovation of 107 kilometers of road.

Participation in these public bidding processes is open to all companies prequalified in category "A1" by the Directorate General of Roads and according to their ability to execute such projects.

Honduras Government Purchase LPN-DGC-UCP-005-2016:

"Renovation of Pito Solo-Ceibita Norte, with an approximate length of 107 km, located in the Department of Santa Barbara.

The section which will be the subject of analysis, design and renovation starts in the diversion at the Pito Solo junction with Highway CA-5 North and ends at Ceibita junction with Highway CA-4 with an approximate length of 107 kilometers.

Among the main achievements of the Project, the Contractor through the contracted consulting firm, will carry out analysis and create designs containing all activities of the works necessary for the implementation of the renovation project taking into account the current road conditions and the area comprising the current right of way.

The Contractor must carry out all tendered works in its proposal for the renovation of the section, which may include works such as: patching, placement of asphalt seals, repairs and construction of minor and major drains, laying down microcarpets, painting road markings and installing vertical signs, repair of existing subsidence in the curbs. "

The deadline for receipt of bids is April 1, 2016.

Tender for Construction of Highway Postponed

March 2018

In Guatemala, the presentation of bids in the tender for the renovation and operation of the Escuintla-Puerto Quetzal highway, with toll collection, has been postponed until April 5.

Panama: $88 Million Road Works Awarded

February 2018

A contract has been awarded to Constructora MECO for the design, construction and maintenance of works for the renovation of the Transístmica highway, section Plaza Agora - San Isidro Station.

The companies that took part in the tender for the renovation of a stretch of approximately 10 kilometers were Constructora MECO, Sacyr Construcción, Constructora Urbana and Conalvias Construcciones, with offers of $88 million, $86 million, $87 million and $90 million, respectively.

Tender: Road Renovation for $37 million

July 2017

The Ministry of Public Works in Panama is putting out to tender the design and construction of 61 kilometers of roads in the district of La Pintada, Coclé province.

"The objective of the act to select Contractors is to renovate 60.68 kilometers of roads consisting of, but not limited to: Design and / or construction of the aforementioned roads, including the renovation and construction of surface drainage systems such as canals and / or ditches, construction of crossings of ravines, rivers or waterways, installation of sub drains, placement of horizontal and vertical signage, construction of sidewalks, removal and relocation of public utilities, any environmental mitigation measures found contained in the corresponding Environmental Impact Assessment study.

Tender: Roadworks for $86 million

February 2017

The Ministry of Public Works in Panama is putting out to tender the design and construction of the renovation and widening of the Omar Torrijos highway, in the section between Corozal, Red Tank and Via Centenario.

According to the request for proposals, some of the objectives are to improve connectivity between the Bridge of the Americas, the fourth future bridge over the Canal and the Centennial Bridge, eliminate the level crossing with a rail freight in Miraflores and improve conditions of the road network for users. Also included is the creation of sidewalks and a bike path.
