Japanese interested in Panama coffee
The Panamanian private sector announced that on January 13 to 15 Japanese coffee importers will be visiting the Boquete region.

According to pa-digital.com.pa, "the mission of Japanese coffee importers already had the chance to know the product at the "Special The Coffee SCAJ" in Tokyo, Japan.
After a tour of several farms in Boquete, Japanese businessmen acquired 600 quintals of coffee.
Considering current crop production is down 50%, for the first time the country is studying importing the bean.
Coffee exporters and producers will be present at Tokyo's 2010 World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition in September.
In the first 8 months of the year, export values increased by 36% over the same period of 2009.
