Italian Manufacturing Comes to Costa Rica

With an investment of $5 million Gualapack Costa Rica has opened a manufacturing and distribution center for flexible packaging for food industry mixtures.

A press release from Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE) reads:

Gualapack Costa Rica, member of Grupo Gualapack today officially opened the doors of its modern manufacturing plant and distribution center for flexible packaging for food industry mixtures. The investment of the new 7.000m² headquarters, located in Cartago, was around $5 million. The company currently employs 40 people and will have a payroll of 160 employees in 2017.

Gualapack's new headquarters in Costa Rica is the first company established in Latin America and from there it will address major markets in Central America and South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela).
