According to the diplomatic authorities, the building under construction was designed to reuse used water, and will have a system that will prevent the free circulation of rainwater in its surroundings.
According to the interactive platform "Construction in Central America" compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, the EIA for this project was submitted in October 2016 and the estimated value of the construction will be $20 million.
An article by Elperiodico.com.gt outlines that " ... the building will use pro-environmental energy conservation measures to save 30% on its operations. Roofs and exterior shades will have solar panels that will generate ten percent of its own electricity.Among its innovations is a parking lot with charging ports for electric vehicles."
The article adds that " ...The 9.4-acre site will take advantage of the rain with roof gardens and green areas with plants native to Guatemala.It will treat and reuse its wastewater, and will have a tank system to completely avoid an increase in water runoff to its surroundings."
