IHOP Franchise Enters Guatemala
With a $ 1.5 million investment, The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) opened its first restaurant.

The Guatemalan opening marks the entry of the U.S. chain, known for its pancakes, in Latin America.
US-based International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is one of those beginning operations in the country.
In an already saturated hamburger market another competitor is looking to set up franchisees throughout Central America.
The U.S. chain Smashburger, already present in Costa Rica, has announced it will open five restaurants in Panama.
The Franchises Buffalo Wings and Moe's are to start operations in August in Plaza Tempo, located in Escazu.
