ICE Launches Document Scan Tender

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad bids digitalization of historical documents, for $1.5 million.

The contract comprises digitalizing approximately 20 million images with their corresponding indexes in order to better meet the needs of the company and to improve customer service.

The bid is called “SERVICIO DE DIGITALIZACIÓN DE DOCUMENTOS (HISTÓRICOS) DE PROCESOS DIVERSOS DEL GRUPO ICE” and the expected date of submission of offers is March 15.

Tender for Document Scanning for $3 million

The Administrative Board of the National Registry of Costa Rica is putting out to tender document scanning services.

Government Purchase 2014LN-000011-0005900001 Costa Rica [LN]:

"Scanning volumes and other documents."

Potential bidders can access the required technical aspects of systems that manage the National Registry, and see which systems that have to guarantee compatibility and interaction, and in this way have a clear idea about the requirements and objectives of the process. Companies must also be aware of which programs have limitations which prevent their modification, so that companies can consider other solutions.

$ 12.5 Million for Paperless Panama Program

Scheduled to launch in 2012, the program will enable electronic exchange of information among state institutions and improve services for users.

According to Eduardo Jaen, administrator of the Government Innovation Authority, there is an analysis being made at institutions with most transactions, the Comptroller General's Office and the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Social Development, Education and Health.

Guatemala Contracts Digitizing Services

The Social Security Institute has invited companies to bid for providing document digitizing services.

These documents include those from the Department of Disability, Aging and Survival, and the Deputy Manager of financial benefits at the Social Security Institute.

The estimated quantity to scan is 5 million pages and the date for submission of offers is January 7th, 2011.

Panama: $415 Million to Digitalize Documents

June 2010

The government announced it will invest the sum in the next four years to digitalize state procedures, to make Panama ‘paperless’.

Eudoro Jaén, administrator of the National Authority for Government Innovation, reported that the program comprises digitalizing over 2.800 procedures in State entities.
