Honduras Left Out of LA Caribbean Summit

The new Government of Honduras was excluded from the Summit, which begins next Sunday in Cancun, Mexico.

Patricia Espinosa, Mexico’s state secretary, explained that a decision by the Organization of the American States was required for Honduras to participate in the event.

However, “this has not happened yet. Thus, the Honduran Government has not been invited to participate”, said Espinosa.

The Unified Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will be signed today, November 22 in San Salvador, said El Salvador’s finance minister.
