Honduras: Standard Fruit Signs Agreement with Union

The banana company has signed a collective contract with the Santa Inés Agricultural Company’s Union to increase banana production.

The agreement provides improvements in health care and higher wages for workers in order to increase production and improve competitiveness.

José Alfredo Jiménez, president the Standard Fruit Union told La Prensa, Honduras: "We must improve production per hectare. They are producing 4 thousand boxes in Guatemala. The challenge is to surpass those figures in our country."
