Honduras: Standard Fruit Signs Agreement with Union
The banana company has signed a collective contract with the Santa Inés Agricultural Company’s Union to increase banana production.

The agreement provides improvements in health care and higher wages for workers in order to increase production and improve competitiveness.
Standard & Fruit have announced plans to increase the total area of bananas planted in the country by 1,200 hectares.
After the establishment by law of the disolution of Coosemupar, reactivation of banana production will be undertaken in 1,700 hectares which will be rented by the former banana workers union.
