Honduras: Offers Submitted for ENEE Building

Seven companies have presented their offers to design and supervise the construction of the National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) building.

Once the contract has been awarded a new process will begin to contract the company that will carry out the construction work.

"An evaluation committee is reviewing the procedures and bidding papers authorized by the board of directors in order to make the process as transparent. Then follows the committee's recommendation, which will be submitted to the board for approval," commented Renán Maldonado, ENEE's chief executive to Latribuna.hn.

The National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) will build its new headquarters with a loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).

ENEE is preparing the bidding rules for auctioning the building’s design.

Roberto Martínez, head of the institution, told newspaper La Tribuna that they want to have the building ready in two years, and that it will be located close to the offices of the External Relations ministry.
