Mario Perdomo, from the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Cortés (CCIC), commented they have invested $1.32 million in the construction.

From La Prensa's website: "One of the first events to be hosted in December will be the 'Forjador' awards, CCIC's most important business award, given to citizens distinguished for their social projection and their work in fostering private enterprises and socioeconomic development in the industrial capital".

$30 million Convention Center in Chiriquí

A project has been presented for the construction of a convention center in the province of Chiriqui, to be erected on ten acres belonging to the Technological University of Panama.

Conventions Center "José Felipe Argüello Carazo", opens next week in San Pedro Sula.

The project was developed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Cortés, has capacity for 1.600 people, and required an investment of $1.54 million.

"Next year, the chamber will build an administrative building to house its offices. It will be located across the street from the Center", reports Laprensahn.com.
