Honduras: Banco Continental Clients Being Served

The Liquidation Board announced that as of November 30 services will be provided in three banks to account holders with deposits and credit operations with the bank currently in liquidation.

The Liquidation Board of Banco Continental SA, under forced liquidation.

Reports:
For customers who have deposits and credit transactions with the bank in liquidation, whose financial services are now being normalised, the procedure for services is as follows:

Starting Monday, November 30, 2015, deposits and credit operations by depositors and borrowers from the bank declared in compulsory liquidation will be served at the following banks:

➢ Banco de los Trabajadores SA
➢Banco Financiera Comercial Hondureña SA (Banco Ficohsa)
➢ Banco de Desarrollo Rural Honduras, SA (Banrural Honduras)

How Much Money Was Lost in Financial Pacific

In Panama reports state that $15 million in assets have been recovered in the process of forced liquidation of the brokerage firm Financial Pacific, an amount which covers only 70% of the total invested by customers.

Problems in the Panamanian stock market continue, and now it is the Liquidating Board of brokerage firm Pacific Financial which is giving the bad news to customers of the company.

Banks authorized by the Superintendency of Securities may perform operations of clearing and settlement of securities in the stock market, which until now has only been done by brokerage houses.

With this modification in the regulations banks may provide more support for trading by its investors, providing the service of clearing and settlement of securities transactions which previously were only handled by brokerage houses.

Colombia: Court Orders Liquidation of Interbolsa

The Superintendency of Corporations has ordered the opening of bankruptcy proceedings on the assets of Interbolsa SA, parent company of the Grupo Interbolsa.

A statement from the Superintendence of Companies of Colombia reads:

Bogota, Jan 4 (SS).

The Superintendency of Corporations in the exercise of its statutory powers 430-000043 January 2013 has decreed the opening of bankruptcy proceedings of the assets of Interbolsa SA, the parent company of Grupo Interbolsa.
