HP and Claro Form Alliance in Central America
The computer maker and the telecommunications company seek to double the region’s internet penetration.

Under the terms of the alliance, the companies will market plans for customers to acquire computers and internet access services with special financing programs, explained Jorge Castillo, commercial director at Claro Guatemala.
Starting this week the company will offer its own Internet connection service, after years of carrying Racsa’s service through its cable network.
Hewlett Parckard opened its first store in the country in Heredia and it is planning another opening late in the year.
The phone company America Movil has launched operations in Costa Rica, with the opening of 40 outlets.
The telecommunications company prepares stores at four local shopping centers.
