Guatemala signs agreement for six casinos

Alekson Development Group signed an agreement with Guatemala to develop six casinos including hotel and golf course services.

The Group is a subsidiary of Fin City Associates, which according to ADG is focusing on economic development in Guatemala. They signed an agreement with the government to develop recreational centers in the capital city, Puerto Quetzal, Puerto Barrios and Atitlan Lake over the next ten years. Construction will begin during the first quarter of next year.

Panama in the cards for next Trump casino

August 2008

Donald Trump's company Trump Entertainment is planning on opening it's first gaming facility outside of the United States on the Pacific Ocean in Panama City.

The casino will be part of the Trump Ocean Club hotel and condominium complex currently under construction, and will likely open to coincide with the condo in either 2009 or 2010.

New Casinos in Panama

Since the current government once again began allowing new casinos, the relevant authority has approved applications for three new licenses.

The new operating licenses are for Princess Casinos in the Panamanian capital's Four Points Hotel, Crown Casinos in the Colón 2000 cruise ship terminal and the Radisson Hotel in Cuatro Altos.

$105 million Investment in Trump Ocean Club Casino

November 2012

South Africa's Sun International has reached an agreement with Newland International Properties for the acquisition of the casino component of the hotel development in Panama.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sun International will get the casino component of the project, the Penthouse (to use as a private salon), a group of building apartments and the rights that the building has to apply for a casino license, all for a value of $45.5 million.

Two New Holiday Inns in Central America Announced

June 2013

The hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group announced the signing of two contracts for Holiday Inn Express hotels in Managua and Tegucigalpa respectively.

In total the two properties represent an increase of 220 rooms for the Holiday Inn brand family in Latin America and the Caribbean, where there are currently 18 Holiday Inn Express hotels and 24 Holiday Inn hotels.
