Guatemala: $ 8.4 Million for Hospital

The Ministry of Interior is taking steps to build the National Civil Police Hospital.

The new hospital would be built in an area of 22.800 square meters, next to the Police Academy, in zone 6.

Claudia Vasquez, Director of Police Hospital, said she is currently negotiating project funding with international agencies.

"The total land area is 22 thousand 800 square meters which will provide enough space for the infrastructure, including parking, gardens, emergency care, beds, maternity, pediatrics, consultation areas and an heliport," adds the article in Elperiodico.com.gt.

Taiwan donates $22.5 million for Hospital in Panama

Construction Started on New Hospital in Honduras

With an investment of $36.6 million work has begun on the new Southern Regional hospital in Choluteca, Honduras.

The total project cost is $36.6 million, of which $33 million is being financed by the Export-Import Bank of Korea, while the national counterpart is $3.6 million.

El Salvador: 4 Bids to Build Maternity Hospital

Two Salvadoran companies, a Spanish and an Italian consortium submitted bids this week to build an outpatient area and exterior works at the National Maternity Hospital.

The director of the Hospital Redevelopment Project and Extension of Health Services (RHESSA) Carrmen Moran Reyes, was satisfied by the profile of the companies interested in the work.

Nicaragua: $66 Million for Military Hospital

August 2010

Work is expected to begin in 2011 once the international construction tender process is completed.

The new 41,000 m2 hospital will be built using funding from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the head of the Nicaraguan Army announced.

It will be located on the site of the old El Retiro Hospital and is expected to be operational by 2014.
