Eleven new Large Users have been given approval and commercial status given to Generador Distribuido Renovable Hidroeléctrica Las Uvitas, 1.87 MW and the sub-station Trecsa Huehuetenango II.

From a Bulletin by the Wholesale Market Authority:

In the month of February new activations in the wholesale market were made. Commercial status was given to Generador Distribuido Renovable Hidroeléctrica Las Uvitas, with an installed capacity of 1.87 MW, and also enabled was the Sub Station Huehuetenango II de Trecsa. Among those given Large User status are:

- Pollo Campero (Chimaltenango y Chiquimulilla)
- UB Aqualia Services, S.A.
- Inversiones Abruzzi, S.A.
- Industria Farmacéutica , S.A.
- Bananera Canaria, S.A.
- Sabor del Mar, S.A.
