With support from the Program of Trade, Investment and Tourism (PACIT), and the Economic Development Agency of Miami, from 7 to 11 April 2014 12 Guatemalan companies may participate in a multi-sector trade mission which will be taking place in Miami, Florida, USA, with support from the Department of Promotion and Trade Information AGEXPORT.
Participants will be able to present their products in the U.S. market in Florida, after conducting business meetings with U.S. counterparts and making market visits, getting advice from local experts in logistics, and learning about requirements to enter the U.S. market among other things.

From May 9th to 17th a group of Guatemala export companies will be visiting India to explore business opportunities.
From a statement issued by the Guatemalan Exporters Association (-AGEXPORT-):
In the last 10 years, exports of Guatemalan products to India have increased by 8 times their value, ie, Guatemala went from selling $2.5 million to $20.5 million.
Exporters from the sectors related to food, crafts, plastics, cosmetics and others will be taking a business trip to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic from 17 to 22 November.

In order to prepare for the upcoming trade mission being held at San Juan, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, 13 businesses took part in an Introductory Seminar for the Caribbean Mission on October 7, in order to find out about the potential in this market.
The Guatemalan Exporters Association is preparing a trade mission for entrepreneurs on May 5th-9th 2014.
